Premier Commends Ascot Park Primary School

Football Federation SA (FFSA) recently attended a presentation at Ascot Park Primary School on their successful Sports Program, along with the Premier of South Australia, Jay Weatherill and Member for Elder Annabelle Digance.

The presentation highlighted to the Premier the uniqueness of Ascot Park primary school in the fact that they are the only Specialist Physical Education and Sport Primary School funded and endorsed by the Department for Education and Child Development. They have been running Football programs at the school for nearly two years.

Ascot Park Primary school also took part in the December visit from English Premier League powerhouse Arsenal who brought their Doubles Club program to Adelaide as part of a FFSA initiative.

FFSA Game Development Manager John Mundy who has worked closely with Arsenal and Ascot Park Primary school said;

“It was fantastic to see the acknowledgement of Ascot Parks program from one of the biggest clubs in the world, through their Head of Arsenal in the Community Alan Sefton MBE and their players. The partnership between Ascot Park, Arsenal Football Club and Football Federation SA has been a rewarding one. Thanks also to Puma for their support.”
