2016 SAJSA State Championships

The 2016 South Australian Junior Soccer Association (SAJSA) State Championships were held over the June long weekend at West Beach.

The tournament was another very successful competition with the number of teams competing, the largest for many years with 54 teams from 11 Associations from as far away as Roxby Downs and Broken Hill  playing 135 games over two and a half days.

A highlight was the opportunity for all the Under 16 teams to play at least one game on the artificial pitch at West Beach which was a first time experience for most players.

The Championship action will continue with the SAJSA Country Championships at Strathalbyn on the 27th/28th August 2016.

SAJSA wishes to make a special mention of the sterling efforts of the Football Federation SA referees in officiating so many games over the weekend.

The standard of refereeing was the subject of many complimentary remarks by team officials and spectators.

Football Federation SA congratulates all involved in the weekends events.
