South Australian Match Official selected for FIFA Course

FFSA congratulates Nathan Magill on his selection to the FIFA Referee Instructors Course, Futuro III, in Bangkok from 14 - 19 November.

The six-day Course will focus on the Technical ability and fitness of some of The Asian Football Confederation's most promising Match Officials.

Nathan is one of three Australian's attending the course alongside one each from Queensland and New South Wales.

FIFA's Deputy Head of Refereeing, Manual Navarro said "The philosophy of the course is based on the 'teach the teachers' concept - what you learn during this course must be passed on to the referees and to other instructors in your Association."

Nathan, who is also FFSA's Senior Men's Football Manager, says he is really excited for the opportunity.

"It's going to assist in me becoming a better instructor both locally and nationally."

"It also shows to my fellow Instructors and Assessors that there is a pathway in match officiating outside of refereeing."
