FFSA Match Official to debut in Westfield W-League

We congratulate FFSA Referee, Maddison Kennedy, who will debut in this weekend's Westfield W-League fixture between Western Sydney and Melbourne City.

Maddi was initially appointed to the Fourth Official's Panel for the 2016-17 Westfield W-League Season but has been promoted to the Centre Official position for the clash between two of the competition's strongest sides on Sunday afternoon.

"I am very excited to referee a W-League fixture this weekend, which is a goal I set myself almost seven years ago when I started refereeing," said Maddi.

"This is the fifth season I have been involved in the W-League and I've seen both the standard of football and officiating continually improving."

Maddi attributes her rapid rise to the contribution made by several members of her support base.

"The support and encouragement I have received from within South Australia and around the country has been crucial to my development."

"This match will be both an exciting experience and another opportunity to learn and develop."

There is a Level 4 Referee Course taking place this summer at Coopers Stadium. To partake in the course, you need to be at least 13 years of age and successfully passed the online Laws of the Game Certificate within the past two years.
