Football Federation SA are recruiting Referees for this coming season!

Take a read through below as we run through the benefits of becoming a Match Official.

Get paid to become involved in the sport you love all year round.

The outdoor winter competitions are completed by late September, but summer futsal (indoor football) and social competitions still require accredited Match Officials throughout the warmer months. This is the perfect part-time job to keep your savings building during school and university!

Fitness and Personal Development

Refereeing fixtures on the weekend combined with midweek training sessions can often be as good as gym workout themself. You'll always feel welcome as part of the Match Officials team and learn life skills such as leadership, communication, management, discipline and confidence which are essential as you further your career in any industry.

Improve your knowledge of the World's game

Football is truly the sport for all and it can be played in many different formats, but there's always more to know. Being across the Laws of the Game will help your own and others understaning of the game no matter whether they are a supporter, player, coach or volunteer.

There is a clear career pathway

The Hyundai A-League now employs full-time Match Officials, meaning the pathway to being a professional Referee has never been clearer in Australia. If you're enjoying your weekend matches so much that you want to pursue this pathway further, Football Federation SA and our Referees Department & Coaches will do all we can to help you succeed.
