South Australia 2012 Paralympic National Championships Squad
Football Federation SA is pleased to announce the South Australia Paralympic 7-aside squad that will compete in the 2012 National Championships in Rockhampton this weekend.
The squad departs Adelaide on Thursday morning and face Victoria in their first match on Friday night, before their last group match of the tournament on Sunday against Queensland.
The Gold Medal and Bronze Medal play-off matches will be held on Monday.
The SA squad is comprised of members of FFSA’s Football Inclusive Program, which, with the support of the Australian Paralympic Committee, provides opportunities to people from aged three years and over with a physical disability such as Cerebral Palsy, an Acquired Brain injury, a congenital deformity, or an amputation.
The Inclusive Football Program allows participants to receive regular training and competition opportunities in a safe, structured, and appropriate environment.
Eight of the 2011 squad will travel to the 2012 National Championships with three squad members will make their debut.
