Home And Away Season Concludes
The Queensland Firebirds completed the regular season undefeated with the record equalling 13th consecutive victory, beating the Canterbury Tactix 69-52 to open the final round. With the minor premiership and home Major Semi-Final secured heading into the last game of the regular season, the Firebirds made light work of their New Zealand opponents on route to their maiden Finals Series. With just one victory to their name this season, the Tactix put up a fight in the first quarter with scores level 15-15 at quarter-time; however, the visitors stepped up their efforts and put the result beyond doubt in the remaining three quarters. Firebirds shooters, Romelda Aiken and Natalie Medhurst were in fine form finish the match with 50/55 and 19/21 respectively.
