Greater Geelong Galaxy
The Greater Geelong Galaxy Football Club has recently been formed as an interim club, with the sole intention to provide a pathway for talented junior female players of Geelong in the absence of an NPL competition.
The committee will soon be advertising trial registrations for junior players who are interested in participating in the 2015 Metropolitan Competition, where all entered teams have been guaranteed entry into the top level competition for each age group in the relevant Metropolitan zone.
This offers a terrific opportunity for junior female footballers to improve their skills by teaming up with the best players from our region and competing in the top level of the metropolitan competition.
The committee will also be calling for applications from coaches who are interested in joining our club.
We are a new club so there is a lot of information and detail yet to come but what we can tell you is:
- Trials will be held in mid-November 2014, dates to be confirmed
- Greater Geelong Galaxy (Girls) will field u12, u14, u16 and u18 teams
- Training two nights per week in Geelong
