NOTICE: GRFC Men's Division 1 Finals fixtures released

FOLLOWING the conclusion of the GRFC Men's Division 1 Regular season last weekend, FFV Competitions wishes to announce the release of fixtures for the Men's Division 1 Finals Series for the 2016 FFV Geelong Finals Series.

FFV would also like to congratulate Deakin Ducks FC Gold for winning the Men's Division 1 League Championship!

All fixtures are now available online (see attachment) under "Men's Division 1 Finals - Pool A" and "Men's Division 1 Finals - Pool B".

All 14 Men's Division 1 teams have been split into Pool A (1st-placed to 6th-placed teams following the conclusion of the regular season) and Pool B (7th-placed to 14th-placed teams following the conclusion of the regular season).

Within their respective pool, all 14 teams will now play an additional 5 fixtures between Friday 29 July and Sunday 4 September. From these 5 Finals Rounds alone, the top two teams in each Pool will play off in the respective Men's Division 1 Grand Final and Men's Division 1 Pool B Grand Final.

For further information regarding this modified finals format, please see attachment.

The teams separated into each Pool based on ladder position at the conclusion of Round 13 are as follows:

- Men's Division 1 League (POOL A)

Deakin Ducks Gold

Barwon Red

Surf Coast

Geelong Rangers

Surfside Waves

Breakwater Eagles

- Men's Division 1 League (POOL B)

Deakin Ducks Green

Deakin Ducks Black

Fixtures have been prepared based on all clubs' existing fixture preferences and requests – all fixtures are clash-free and also take into consideration requests from all clubs regarding Sunday 31 July in regards to the Tour Match between Melbourne Victory vs. Atlético de Madrid.

All points accumulated in the Regular Season are reset for all teams at the beginning of Finals Round 1.

All Grand Finals will be played on the weekend of Sunday 11 September. More information regarding times and venues for Grand Finals on this weekend will be released in the coming weeks.

We ask all Men's Division 1 Clubs to ensure all relevant club members are aware of their Finals Series fixtures, with most teams to play their next fixtures to be played on Friday 29 July.
