Well, in case you hadn't heard last weekends JSC in Port Macquarie was abandoned with no play possible on Sunday. Too much rain over the preceeding few days had made the touch fields resemble one giant swimming pool and NSW Touch made the unfortunate decision around 6:00am on Sunday, so we all got an early mark.

It is a great shame that the efforts over the previous four months of our players, coaches, managers, parents and WTA Board were to end this way. Also, spare a thought for our referees who were peaking for finals day. We must also recognise the efforts of all Associations in attendance, the many volunteers involved and NSW Touch Staff who did their best in trying circumstances.

But enough crying in our rice paddys. There were still two days of great touch footy and although we were ankle deep in mud the show went on. It's fair to say that all Vipers teams put in great showings on the field and were examples to all off the field. This year all teams stayed at the same hotel and we must thank the Port Pacific Resort for their great accommodation. The kids all behaved themselves and we look forward to getting back there next year.
