Our ladies team are getting things organised for their 2nd season in the National League. The club announce the signing of 3 terrific players on a structured link basis from Letterkenny Blaze. This means that the 3 players can play national league with us and still play with their own club Blaze who gave our ladies their toughest game last year when we just shaded them by a few points in the league. They are County Footballer Catherine Boyle who will join up with fellow county Gaa Stars Kate Keaney and Tara Khan with former All Ireland Ladies gaa Title winners Charlene Mc Hugh, Sheila Campbell (Manager) and the trainier of that win Brendan Drummond (Ass Coach). Aisling Brennan is a talented Center who gave our girls all they wanted under the boards and a player who has a nice touch around the basket and well able to shoot around the key which add to a player with a great work rate and her ability to rebound will also be a great asset to the team. This will add to our inside game big time and a great addition. Also Signing up is Aislings younger sister Clodagh who made her club Letterkenny Blaze and all in Donegal Basketball very proud when she pulled on and Irish U16 Vest in Dublin this summer in the Home nations internationals. She will no doubt be a big addition too and will add to this talented group of Donegal Basketball players. Great to see this link being formed and any other clubs in the region that have any players looking for National League experience are more than welcome.
