Star Profile - Justin Robinson - LSBU Brixton Topcats

Justin Robinson returns to play for LSBU Brixton Topcats in London Summer League for the first time since he was a junior player.

The 6'2" combo-guard is one of five Topcats alumini who are current Great Britain Internationals - the others being NBA All-Star Luol Deng, Eric Boateng, Matthew Bryan-Amaning and Ogo Adegboye.

From Topcats, Robinson followed Luol Deng to the Blair Academy in New Jersey, which is well regarded for its prestigious basketball programme.

Robinson went on to have a stellar college career at Rider University in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). A starter for the Broncos from his Rookie season he played 130 games in four years averaging 11.4 points and 2.93 assists in 29.3 minutes per game. He was twice awarded MAAC Player of the Week and was named team captain in his Senior year.

Robinson was first selected for Great Britain whilst still at college, making his debut against Poland in 2009 and has won 21 caps so far. Perhaps his only career disappointment was when he wasn't named in the Great Britiain squad for London 2012.

There was never any doubt that Robinson would turn pro and he signed with Maroussi in Greece in 2011 but then transferred to Apollon Limassol where he averaged 12.2 points and helped the team to finish runners-up in the Cypriot League.

This season Robinson played the majority of the season for BC Kyiv in Ukaine averaging 10.4 points and 4.1 assists per game before completing the season with Swedish club Uppsala.

With Robinson on the roster LSBU Brixton Topcats become one of the favourites for the London Summer League title, with Robinson of course a potential MVP.
