Girls Come and Try Day: Biloela

On Saturday 20 February Tom McDonald, CQ Regional Football Development Officer, ran a Girls Come and Try Day Session in Biloela (see picture). Eighteen girls ranging in ages from 4-14 turned out for the session. "It was hot but the girls braved the heat for a session on Running with the Ball which was very successful and showed the talent CQ has in the country areas," Tom explained. The session was part of Football Queensland's commitment to help develop grassroots football throughout communities in the Central Queensland area. Tom will be running workshops and/or coaching sessions across the CQ zone throughout the season starting with a clinic in Emerald at the end of March (see here for details).
