SWQ Thunder | vs | Moreton Bay United
Gatton Football Club | Saturday | 5.00pm

| LIVE STREAM MATCH |

Moreton Bay push for top four

SWQ Thunder are currently on a three-game losing streak, and will have to overcome fifth placed Moreton Bay United if they are to change that statistic. The Thunder suffered a 4-1 loss against Lions FC in their last game, with those four conceded goals contributing to a total 16 conceded goals in three games.

Moreton Bay United re-joined the winners’ circle in round nine, overcoming Sunshine Coast United FC. The away trip to SWQ this weekend could see them enter the top four, depending on other results.

Brisbane City FC | vs | Olympic FC
Corporate Travel Management Stadium | Saturday | 6.30pm

Can City topple Olympic?

Brisbane City were unable to stop a Brisbane Strikers comeback in their previous game, going down 4-2 last weekend after leading 0-2 at half-time. Their opponents this weekend provide another challenge, as they face the undefeated Olympic FC.

Olympic FC leads second place Western Pride by two competition points, and have no intentions on surrendering that lead. Jez Lofthouse has netted seven goals this season, as has Adam Edgar. Both players will expect to find the back of the net again this Saturday evening.

Redlands United FC | vs | North QLD United
Cleveland Showgrounds | Saturday | 7.00pm

NQ United look for bayside joy

Redlands United have been on the wrong end of some closely fought contests in recent weeks, going down in two 2-1 score lines. Their next opportunity to get things back on track will come against the travelling North Queensland United, who sit two points ahead. The winner of this game has the potential to push their way into the mid-table pack.

NQ United have had no luck in their last three games, but will look to their top scorers in Jarrod Green and Corey Waples to snap their losing streak.

Cairns FC | vs | Western Pride
Southside Comets Football Club | Saturday | 7.00pm

Wenzel-Halls looking to continue form

Western Pride FC will travel north to face Cairns FC in their round 10 clash. The proud white and green have still only seen defeat once this season, largely due to their abilities in front of goal. 41 goals in eight games gives Western Pride with the best goal difference in the competition, with competition’s leading goal scorer Dylan Wenzel-Halls spearheading their attack on 19 goals.

Cairns FC were unable to take the field in their round nine game against the Mackay Magpies, and will hope their week off doesn’t slow their momentum after securing four points in their last two fixtures.

Lions FC | vs | Gold Coast United
Lions Stadium | Saturday | 7.00pm

Gold Coast aim for a change of goal-scoring fortunes

Lions FC continue to linger closely behind the competition leaders, after another victory last weekend, this time against SWQ Thunder. The Richlands based side bagged their three points largely thanks to a Jacob Alexander hat-trick.

Gold Coast United were unable to fend off Western Pride in their most recent game, and will look to make amends against another strong outfit. The Gold Coast side have only managed four goals in as many games, a statistic they will be keen to improve on this Saturday evening.

Brisbane Roar Youth | vs | Magpies Crusaders
Logan Metro Sports Complex | Saturday | 7.00pm

Magpies fly to face Roar

A string of four consecutive losses will be the motivation for the Mackay Magpies when they take on the Brisbane Roar Youth this Saturday evening. In their six defeats of the season, the Magpies have looked dangerous and have lost by a one-goal margin five times. The Magpies will no doubt look for a change of fortunes and improve their position on the NPL ladder, which is currently 13th place.

The Brisbane Roar Youth grabbed their first victory in four weeks last weekend, successfully overcoming NQ United. Roar coach James Robinson will look for a similar result this weekend, as they aim to re-enter the top four.

Sunshine Coast FC | vs | Brisbane Strikers FC
Sunshine Coast Stadium | Sunday | 2.00pm

Fire look to keep Brisbane Strikers at bay

In the NPL’s only Sunday fixture, Sunshine Coast Fire host the in-form Brisbane Strikers. The Strikers have continued their strong run of performances with a stunning 4-2 win against Brisbane City FC, which included a second-half comeback after being down 2-0 at the break.

The Fire’s schedule of tough opponents continues again this round, after four of their last five fixtures have been against teams currently in the top half of the standings. The side will be keen to bring out a potentially season changing win against the Brisbane Strikers, as they look for their second win of 2018.

NPLW

Sunshine Coast Wanderers | vs | SWQ Thunder
Ballinger Park Buderim Field | Saturday | 5.00pm

SWQ Thunder look for maiden win in round 10

Sunshine Coast Wanderers were victors in a 5-4 thriller against the Capalaba Bulldogs, giving the side their first win of the 2018 season. The Wanderers will look to make it two wins in as many weeks when they take on last placed SWQ Thunder at home.

On the opposite side of the pitch on Saturday, will be SWQ Thunder, who are yet to get a victory in their 2018 campaign. Their most recent game resulted in a 7-1 defeat against Moreton Bay United at home. The Thunder will turn to leading scorer Louise Rolfe to find the back of the net again this weekend, to produce their first visit to the winners circle.

Lions FC | vs | Brisbane Roar FC/NTC
Lions Stadium | Saturday | 5.00pm

Roar too loud for the Lions?

In a top four NPLW clash, Brisbane Roar FC/NTC will travel to Richlands to face Lions FC in what is set to be a hard fought contest. The Roar have only lost twice this season, and will fancy themselves to give Lions FC their first defeat.

The orange and blue will no doubt have other ideas, as they look to continue their season’s perfect record. Tegan Riding has been on the scoresheet 14 times this season, and will be on the Roar’s watch list as they do battle.

Logan Lightning | vs | Capalaba Bulldogs
Cornubia Park | Saturday | 6.00pm

Turning point for the victor?

Whilst not without glimpses of success, both Logan Lightning and Capalaba Bulldogs have been unable to get their seasons off to the starts they would have liked. This weekend’s clash will provide both sides the chance to turn their seasons around against a similarly placed opponent.

Logan Lightning must recover from a 6-2 loss against competition leaders Souths United, while Capalaba Bulldogs were closely beaten by the Wanderers.

Eastern Suburbs FC | vs | The Gap FC
Heath Park | Saturday | 6.00 pm

Gators to be spotted in Tigers territory

The Eastern Suburbs have a split record going into round ten, having triumphed and been defeated four times. Their chance to go one win better will come against The Gap FC, who are yet to suffer a defeat of their own. The Tigers will look to this home game as the perfect venue to break The Gap’s perfect 2018 record.

The Gators are sitting equal second, and will be set on grabbing all three points to give competition leaders Lions FC and Souths FC no breathing room.

Mitchelton FC | vs | Western Pride FC
Teralba Park | Saturday | 6.00pm

Western Pride travel east

The last Saturday night game in the NPLW will take place at Mitchelton’s Teralba Park, where Western Pride will travel to do battle. The home side is currently sitting on two losses in as many games, but will look to get back to winning ways this weekend.

Western Pride have had a mixed season, unable to find consistency so far. Goal scorers Kate Muscat and Sophie Weatherby will look to start a mid-season push towards the top four.

Moreton Bay United | vs | Mudgeeraba SC
Wolter Park | Sunday | 5.00pm

| LIVE STREAM MATCH |

Moreton Bay pushing top four

Morton Bay United is currently lingering just outside the competition’s top four, and will have no intentions of dropping points to tarnish their winning streak - currently at two games. Their opponents are Mudgeeraba, who have been unable to replicate their top performances since their four points in early March

For those fans who love to see goals, keep an eye out for Moreton Bay’s Jazmyn Perin and Mudgeeraba’s Sarah Skinner, who both sit on eight and five goals for the season respectively.

Gold Coast United | vs | Souths United
Wakerley Park | Sunday | 6.00pm

Chance of goal-fest at Wakerley Park

In a home-away-from-home game, Gold Coast United will see Souths United in Sunday afternoon action. Although competition leaders Souths United have two games in hand over second and third place, their dominance in their last four games is noteworthy. The green and white have scored four goals or more in each of these last four fixtures. Gold Coast United will have to be defensively sharp when they step onto the pitch this weekend.

Gold Coast United have the Commonwealth Games to thank for adopting Souths United home ground this weekend. The Gold and Blue themselves are more than capable in-front of goal, scoring seven goals last weekend and 30 in total this season.

FQPL

Wide Bay Buccaneers | vs | Eastern Suburbs
Martens Oval Field | Saturday | 5.00pm

Wide Bay not far away

The Buccaneers trailed Mitchelton FC by only one goal for the first hour of their round nine clash, before conceding four late goals. Mitchelton’s late surge in-front of goal produced a harsh full-time score line for the Buccaneers, who showed that they might be 30 minutes away from being genuinely competitive in the FQPL this season.

Eastern Suburbs will be a tough opponent to find form against, as the Tigers will be keen to replicate their strong winning performance in round nine against the Holland Park Hawks.

Capalaba Bulldogs | vs | Peninsula Power
John Frederick Sportsfields | Saturday | 6.00pm

Bulldogs face pure power

Capalaba Bulldogs were on the wrong end of a 1-0 score line in round nine, going down against fellow top four side Logan Lightning. Their round ten opponents won’t be any easier, as they face FQPL leaders Peninsula Power.

The Power have quickly set the benchmark for the 2018 FQPL, still yet to drop a point after nine fixtures. Power’s scoring tallies have come from 12 different goal scorers, which is a threat the Bulldogs will need to combat if they’re to take the three points.

Southside Eagles | vs | Rochedale Rovers
Perry Park | Saturday | 6.00pm

Rovers roam to face Eagles

Southside Eagles and Rochedale Rovers will do battle at Perry Park in their round 10 fixture. The Rovers are currently sitting three points outside of the top four, having secured four wins in 2018, all of which by a one-goal margin. Adding to their win tally this weekend will potentially see them sit just two points behind second place.

The Eagles are in the top three for most conceded goals this season, and will be set on tightening their defensive screws as they aim for their third win of the campaign.

Holland Park Hawks | vs | Wolves FC
White Hills Reserve | Saturday | 6.00pm

Wolves want another upset against Hawks

After a strong start to their season, the Holland Park Hawks have suffered four straight defeats, most recently at the hands of Eastern Suburbs. The Hawks are currently one of three teams on ten competition points, who will all be looking for strong performances this weekend.

Wolves FC have had an opposite season, which involved a slow start to 2018. However, in recent weeks, Wolves have upset Eastern Suburbs and Southside Eagles to sit on two consecutive victories. Wolves will be eager to make the struggling Hawks victim number three.

Souths United | vs | Sunshine Coast Wanderers
Wakerley Park | Saturday | 7.15pm

Slowing Wanderers attack the mission for Souths

Souths United have managed 22 goals in their seven games, and will look to add more this weekend when they take on the second placed Sunshine Coast Wanderers. Souths will need a strong attacking performance if they wish to overcome a Wanderers side that is scoring almost 3.5 goals per game on average.

The Wanderers will be looking to return to their winning ways, after a goalless draw against Ipswich Knights prevented the side with six wins on the trot.

Ipswich Knights | vs | Mitchelton FC
Eric Evans Oval | Sunday | 3.00pm

| LIVE STREAM MATCH |

Mustangs and Knights set to joust it out

Sunday football action in the FQPL will see Ipswich Knights host Mitchelton FC at Eric Evans Oval. The Knights surprised the competition by managing a 0-0 draw against second placed Sunshine Coast, and will hope to go one better this weekend.

It’s a homecoming of sorts Mitchelton’s Peter Drager - born and raised in Ipswich, the journeyman played a majority of his career at the Knights before stints at Western Pride and finally, the Mustangs. Mitchelton FC delivered a strong second half performance against the Wide Bay Buccaneers to secure a 5-0 victory, and will no-doubt be happy to replicating such a result.

Logan Lightning | Bye

Logan Lightning receive the bye in round 10, and will use the weekend off to rest before their next scheduled game against competition leaders Peninsula Power.
