Macintyre Cup

The MacIntyre Cup for International Mirror Class Dinghies was held at Montrose Bay

YC on the weekend of 28/29 November. This Statewide event has been held every

year since 1974, and is named after Dr Iain MacIntyre who introduced the Mirror to

Tasmania in 1966. It is a handicap regatta with an emphasis on participation at all

levels.

The Dragon is a one design keelboat. The Dragon's long keel and elegant metre-boat lines remain unchanged, but today Dragons are constructed using the latest technology to make the boat durable and easy to maintain. During the 2015-2016 season the TIDA & the RYCT will be conducting the 2016 Prince Philip Cup, the Australasian Championship for the International Dragon Class.
