Zebras appoint Marchioli as TD

Moreland Zebras has announced the appointment of Riccardo Marchioli as its Technical Director of Football.

Riccardo has endured a football journey that has seen him coach at many levels, from the Victorian Champions League (VCL) where he received the honours of coach of the year; the FFV State Development Program (as U14 Assistant Coach); to coaching in the Sportsmart Women’s Premier League with Altona City and Cairnlea FC.

Riccardo is looking forward to commencing the role, and is also pleased that Moreland has given him the opportunity.

"I'm delighted and excited to begin working as the new Technical Director at Moreland Zebras,” Marchioli said.

“It takes great vision and bravery for a club to trust someone so young and I will make sure I repay that faith shown in my ideas by always bringing a great deal of energy, creativity, flexibility and love to the role - qualities that I would like to see manifested in Moreland's youth teams, players and coaches.”

“It has been a long journey filled with many different experiences for me and finally I feel that I can settle at a club that is renowned not only for producing players but also great coaches who move onto the highest levels of football.

“I look forward to continuing my growth and development hand in hand with the Moreland Zebras family while being a guiding light to all those I will have the pleasure of working alongside over the next couple of years.

“With a great deal of unity and co-operation between everybody involved we can begin preparing for a new era at Moreland Zebras and the creation of a dynamic environment which produces a positive, high vibrational, effervescent style of football for the entire community to enjoy."
