Adelaide Blue Eagles Goalkeeper up for PlayStation 4 Player Pathway Award

Adelaide Blue Eagles goalkeeper Michael Catford is a chance to win a trial with Hyundai A-League outfit, Sydney FC, if he's the winner of the PlayStation 4 Player Pathway Award.

Since the inaugural season of the PlayStation 4 National Premier League, the best talent from around the nation has been exposed to the top-flight, the Hyundai A-League.

The PS4 Pathway Player of the Year Award has been created with the vision of offering this opportunity to at least one more name, each year.

Michael Catford, an Adelaide Blue Eagles goalkeeper since the age of 15, has recovered from an ACL injury to become the State's 2016 entrant into the Award.

Michael will be up against some quality opposition from the National Premier League of each other state if he's to gain the prize at the end, a trial with the Sydney FC Youth Team.

It's with that prize, that he'll creep closer to achieving his dream of becoming a professional footballer.

Fox Sports's Adam Peacock caught up with Michael in his home surrounds, the Adelaide Blue Eagles Marden Sports Complex - you can view the short video HERE
