NPL Junior Grand Final venue chosen

Floreat Athena’s E&D Litis Stadium has been chosen to host this season’s inaugural National Premier Leagues WA Junior Grand Finals.

The 2014 NPL Junior Grand Finals will feature the best teams from the 12 – 16 NPL competitions.

Having missed out on a finals berth in the NPL Senior competitions in 2014, Floreat Athena has accepted the opportunity to put on this season’s NPL Junior showcase event on Sunday, September 14.

NPL Manager Chris Beech said: “E&D Litis Stadium was awarded hosting duties after careful consideration was made of several options. It is a fantastic opportunity to showcase some of the best junior players in the state at such a good venue. We are hopeful the players will enjoy playing inside the stadium with a finals atmosphere.”

NPL clubs Sorrento, ECU Joondalup, Perth Glory, and Cockburn City have all booked their place in junior NPL Grand Finals after winning their semi final clashes on Sunday, August 31.

The winner’s from this weekend’s elimination finals will join these clubs in the hope of being crowned the inaugural NPL Champions in the junior NPL competitions.

Trophies and medals will be awarded at the conclusion of each match on Sunday, September 14.
