In Round 11 of the AFL Canberra First Grade competition only two games were played with Gungahlin and Eastlake both enjoying a week off.

However the two games that were played were both cracking games of football, with the top four sides in the competition all battling it out in the race for the finals.
Interestingly enough both games followed very similar trends with the team expected to win trailing early before coming home strongly to take the points.
Tuggeranong Coach Nathan Costigan would be scratching his head when for the third time this season his side gave up a significant three quarter time lead to be overrun by competition favourites Belconnen.
Tuggeranong led at every change heading into the final term with an 11 point buffer, however the Hawks were kept scoreless in the final term, whilst the Magpies banged on five goals to run away 20 point winners.
It must have felt like déjà vu for the Hawks who have done the same thing in their previous two encounters with the Magpies and now have five games to address the issue before finals.
The Magpies will take supreme confidence in their ability to produce results when they matter but will certainly be hoping that come finals time they are not required to come from behind again.
In the other game of Round 11 Queanbeyan cemented their place in third spot when they also came from behind to defeat the Ainslie Tri colours.
The Tri Colours will again be left wondering what might have been as they too produced a goalless final term to surrender a significant three quarter time lead.
In front of a strong home crowd Queanbeyan were able to kick seven unanswered goals in the final term to claim their third victory against the Tri Colours in 2015 and ensure they will finish in third spot.
