Finals football kicks off this weekend in for all our lower grades and Women's divisions. It’s been a long season and with spring just around the corner it’s the perfect time for finals football. Below is a briefly detailed preview of all the games across the Community Football League this weekend.

Third Grade
Semi Final 1: Woden Blues vs. ANU Griffins
These two teams have been the best two sides all season and deserve to be playing it out for a spot in the Grand Final this weekend. With Woden finishing on top of the table and beating the Griffins on two out of three occasions this season, they must be considered favorites. However ANU has consistently been a successful team in the past and their finals experience could prove the difference. The game will be played at Football Park and will be a hell of a game.
Semi Final 2: ADFA/RMC Rams vs. Molonglo Juggernauts
This game appears to be a very tough game for Molonglo judging by how the season has unfolded. Although they got close in one of their encounters with ADFA this season, they were defeated all three occasions, including a 93-point thrashing in Round 17. Anything can happen in finals so they must not be written off but it looks as though ADFA should get the win down at Football Park to progress to the Preliminary Final.
Fourth Grade
Semi Final 1: Harman Hogs vs. ANU Griffins
Harman and ANU have been a gear above most of the other teams this season with both of them sitting in first and second spot comfortably. Interestingly ANU have beaten Harman twice this season in close encounters but on the other occasion they met Harman defeated ANU convincingly. Harman finished the season one game ahead of ANU on the ladder but come finals that doesn’t mean a great deal. Expect this game to be close, really could go either way at Football Park.
Semi Final 2: ADFA/RMC Rams vs. Woden Blues
For a team in its first year, Woden has done extremely well to make the finals. It’s going to be extremely tough for them to overcome ADFA but they’re definitely a chance, albeit a slim one. They will be looking to play more like they did in Round 6 when they beat ADFA compared to what they played like in Round 18 when ADFA got the better of them. The game will be played at Football Park, which might give Woden a slight advantage.
Regional Grade
Semi Final 1: Goulburn Swans vs. Cootamundra Blues
Similar to the fourth grade competition these two teams have really kicked away this season and sit comfortably on top of the table. Only one game separates these teams proving that there is not much between them but the home advantage Goulburn have could separate them. The game will be played at Goodhew Park and could ultimately determine how this season finishes.
Semi Final 2: Cooma Cats vs. Yass Roos
These two teams have had a couple of really tight affairs this seasons and this game looks to be another one. Both teams have shown on their day they can play extremely good football and will be hoping to get to a preliminary final to potentially cause an upset. The game will be played at Snowy Oval in Cooma.
Women’s Division One
Semi Final 1: Tuggeranong Hawks vs. Riverina Lions
Once again in Women’s competition this season Tuggeranong and Riverina finished first and second. Earlier in the season the Hawks defeated the Lions rather easily but Riverina has improved since then and will be looking to make amends. This game will be played at Star Track Oval.
Semi Final 2: Eastlake Demons vs. Belconnen Magpies
Eastlake just didn’t make second position on percentage and as a result they don’t get the double chance and have to front up against the Magpies. Belconnen have also had a pretty good season so it should be an interesting game down at Gunghalin Enclosed Oval.
Women’s Division Two
Semi Final 1: Queanbeyan Tigers vs. Ainslie Tri Colours
Queanbeyan go into finals with a comfortable lead on top of the table and last time these two teams met they won. Ainslie have been fairly competitive over the whole season but it seems like it might be just a bit difficult overcoming the Tigers at Star Track Oval.
Semi Final 2: Molonglo Juggernauts vs. ANU Griffins
Molongoo will be going into this game favorite and should win if they play like they did against ANU earlier in the season. ANU won’t make it easy for them and will also be looking to progress to a preliminary final. This game will be played at Gunghalin Enclosed Oval
