Friday night footy is back again this season as Gungahlin host Belconnen in what will be the only match of the round.

The Jets face a tall order taking on the Magpies a week after playing first placed Ainslie, while Belconnen are riding high after another convincing win over Tuggeranong.
The last time these sides faced each other Belconnen won by a comfortable 112 points with Lexi Bennett kicking seven goals, the biggest haul by any Pies’ player this season.
This game will provide Gungahlin with an opportunity to show their mettle to the rest of the competition as they face the task of versing another premiership contender in consecutive weeks.
If the Jets can meet the challenge with a hard and spirited performance, it could prove to be a glowing statement in the development of the Gungahlin Football Club.
The Magpies will be aiming for a big win in order to boost their percentage as it may end up being a key factor in deciding who finishes where on the ladder at the end of the season.
Gungahlin will be hoping to use the dewy conditions to their advantage and create a scrappy game in order to prevent Belconnen from playing free flowing footy.
History suggests that the Magpies should win this game with relative ease, but if the Jets can manage to get their structures right and limit Belconnen from playing their preferred brand of footy, they’ll be left feeling very satisfied.
