Greater Western Sydney’s clash with the Geelong Cats at Manuka Oval saw a sell-out crowd pack in to Manuka Oval, and as such only a handful of games took place Around the Grounds this week.

The Gungahlin Jets toppled Eastlake in Second Grade to complete their first win for the 2015 season, ending a long wait for competition points.
The race for the Rising Stars minor premiership is alive and well after Marist upset the competition front-runners in neutral territory.
In Third Grade action, ADFA/RMC kicked clear in the third term to collect the points against the Juggernauts, leaving the battle for the fourth finals spot wide open.
ADFA/RMC wrapped-up their spot in Fourth Grade’s top four with a win over Molonglo at home. The Juggernauts are just one win shy of fourth place on the ladder.
Tuggeranong showed why they are the deserving flag favourites in the Women’s Division One competition, completing another dominant win over a premiership contender, with Eastlake’s win catapulting them in to second spot on the table.
Molonglo have emerged as a legitimate premiership contender in the Women’s Grade’s Division Two competition, whilst Queanbeyan further enhanced their own premiership credentials.
SECOND GRADE (ROUND 12)
Gungahlin 8.10.58 defeated Eastlake 5.9.39
After an agonising wait, Gungahlin finally collected their first win of the season with a nineteen-point victory over the Demons at Gungahlin Enclosed Oval. Daniel Hambleton was among the Jets’ best as two goals each from Kevin Mangan and Joseph Looby propelled the side to success.
Belconnen, Queanbeyan, Tuggeranong, and Ainslie had the Bye.
RISING STARS (ROUND 12)
Marist 9.8.62 defeated Eastlake 5.7.37
Three goals to none in the final term helped Marist to their seventh win of the season, upsetting the competition leaders at Gungahlin Enclosed Oval. Just four competition points separate first and fourth on the ladder, suggesting that the race for the minor premiership is alive and well.
Belconnen, Queanbeyan, Tuggeranong, and Ainslie had the Bye.
THIRD GRADE (ROUND 3) *Make-up for postponed game in Round 3
ADFA/RMC 7.10.52 defeated Molonglo 5.5.35
Molonglo held a slender two-point lead at halftime, but were unable to trouble the scorers in the third term as the Rams took control of the contest. The Juggernauts now face a pivotal final three rounds to secure their spot in the top four.
UC, Woden, ANU, and Batemans Bay had the Bye.
FOURTH GRADE (ROUND 3) *Make-up for postponed game in Round 3
ADFA/RMC 13.16.94 defeated Molonglo 8.2.50
Liam Humphrey kicked five goals for the victors as the Rams wrapped-up their spot in the top four at RMC Oval on Sunday. Dean Hill slotted four for the visitors, who now face an uphill battle to play finals football.
UC, Woden, ANU, and Batemans Bay had the Bye.
REGIONAL GRADE (ROUND 15)
General Bye.
WOMEN’S GRADE (ROUND 12)
Division One
Tuggeranong 9.12.66 defeated Belconnen 2.1.13
Kathryn Ghirardello slotted five of her side’s nine goals as they gear up for the Division One Finals Series. Tuggeranong have found another gear leading in to the business end of the season. It will be a tough ask for anyone to knock over the flag favourites.
Eastlake 5.8.38 defeated Riverina 1.3.9
Two premiership contenders collided at Kingston Oval on Sunday, but few would have expected such a one-sided affair. Eastlake were brilliant as they held the Lions to a single goal to leapfrog them in to second place on the ladder.
Gungahlin had the Bye.
Division Two
Queanbeyan 8.8.56 defeated ADFA/RMC 2.2.14
The flag favourites were comprehensive victors over a determined Ewes outfit, with Hannah Dunn slotting three goals in a Best on Ground performance. Queanbeyan have already established themselves as the team to beat in the early stages of the restructured competition.
Molonglo 10.8.68 defeated ANU 1.0.6
Grand finalists in 2014, the Juggernauts have emerged as the dark horse in the Division Two competition, notching up two consecutive wins. Sally Moylan was judged as the best afield following her four-goal performance.
Ainslie had the Bye.
