Round one of the 2016 ActewAGL Junior Competition sees Under 11’s Tuggeranong Bulldog, Leo Lahey play his 50th game for the club.
Since playing his first AFL game at 5 years old as a fill in for the Charters Towers Demons under 10's side in Far North Queensland, it’s fair to say Leo has lived and breathed footy ever since.
Rarely seen without a footy in his hand, Leo displays class and maturity belying his years. A proven a ball magnet, Leo is often seen linking up with his team mates in a chain of possessions as well as pulling off tackle after tackle during the game.
As an under 10 playing up a grade in 2015, Leo finished 4th in the AFL Canberra ActewAGL Junior Competition Under 11’s Best and Fairest, but when asked what his best memory of the season was he said, "Playing footy with my friends, trying my hardest and walking off the field knowing I'd done my best".
Welcomed into the club with open arms, Leo is now an integral member of a very strong group.
On the behalf of AFL Canberra and ActewAGL, we would like to congratulate Leo on his 50 game milestone with the Tuggeranong Bulldogs.
The Tuggeranong Bulldogs take on the Ainslie Tricolours (Red) this Saturday at 10:30am, Gordon Oval.
