Another year at the Magpies for player number 33 Christopher York as he continues his one man club loyalty since 1995. Scoring 5 majors on the weekend against the Demons he is hoping to continue that form throughout the remainder of the season and go for another tilt at the premiership.
Here is a few details you may not know about Belconnen Magpies Chris York.
When did you start playing AFL? My first year was in 1995 playing for West Canberra magpies.
Which team did you support while growing up? I have always supported North Melbourne Kangaroos
Which AFL teams have you played with besides the Belconnen Magpies? No one, have only ever played for the Magpies!
What was one of your fondest memories growing up that others may not know? Finally completing my collection of the set of 1994 season rugby league cards with signed gold cards.
What is your most embarrassing moment? Accidentally calling my Year 2 teacher 'Mum' and having all the other kids pay me out for ages.
How often do you train? 3 nights a week plus a gym session every now and then
Is there a current AFL player who you model your game on? Drew 'The Dish' Petrie
What are your personal goals for this year’s Competition? To win the premiership is the only goal I have at all!
