Tuggeranong Hawks stalwart Gerrit “Chief” Wanganeen has been selected from hundreds of applicants to line up in the All Stars team to play in the 20th Anniversary Ray White E.J. Whitten Legend game at Eithad on Tuesday 30th June.
Played in memory of the great Mr Football, Ted Whitten who passed away from prostate cancer in 1996, the Ray White EJ Whitten Legends Game is the funniest and fiercest game on the AFL calander.
Chief will have his skills on show in front of 25,000 roaring fans and a huge national television audience. As well as taking it up to the legends at Etihad Stadium, the Play in the Game draftees will be joining the players for post games celebrations and commiserations at the VIP after party.
The Ray White EJ Whitten Legends Game is played in support of the EJ Whitten Foundation and their quest to promote men’s health awareness and their continued support for prostate cancer research.
Chief will line up for the Allies alongside greats of the game including Billy Brownless, Shane Crawford, Michael O’Loughlin and Tadhg Kennelly.

All at the Hawks and AFL Canberra wish him all the best for the game next Tuesday and will surely do himself and the ACT proud.
Unfortunately at this stage the game is not being shown live into ACT. We will provide live-stream details as they become available.
