FIJI Water has given Basketball Fiji another boost in hosting the FIBA under-19 Oceania Basketball Championship at the Vodafone Arena in Suva.

One hour prior to the official opening of the historic tournament, Fiji Water chief executive officer Rokosiga Nabalarua officially informed Basketball Fiji of its support in providing drinks to the players and officials during the week-long tournament.

Basketball Fiji president was overwhelmed with the support from Fiji Water, one of the best drinking waters in the world.

He said Fiji Water would definitely boost the event and that players would enjoy drinking the water during the week-long tournament in Suva.

"We've been searching for sponsors for some time and we're thankful to Fiji Water for accepting the request to partner with us in hosting this tournament," Naivalurua said.

"We're so grateful for the support and we believe as the best water in Fiji, the players and all the officials will enjoy drinking the water during the event."

He said the timely support could not have come a better time.
