Sporting Chance Scholarships

Re: Invitation to “Sporting Chance Scholarships” launch
I am writing to inform you of an exciting new sporting initiative created by Greater Shepparton City Council in conjunction with FamilyCare Shepparton.
The Sporting Chance Program wants Greater Shepparton residents to actively participate in sport and recreation, regardless of their means through access to small grants.
Sporting Chance can fund registrations, uniforms, appropriate footwear, participation fees and other equipment up to $250 for approved applicants.
These grants only apply to individuals who are in the following categories
- Children and young people between the ages of five and 18 or are full time at school
- Adults over 18 who are no longer at secondary school. For adults, an element of volunteering is required to be eligible for the scholarship.
I have included a brochure setting out the criteria and eligibility in detail and encourage your organisation to nominate applicants who would benefit from this program.
