Canterbury prevented Souths from taking the Junior Reps clean sweep with a hard fought 28-22 victory in the opening round of the SG Ball competition at Erskineville Oval.

Souths winger Patrice Siolo scored wide out five minutes before half-time to bring the score to 18-10 in the Bulldogs favour with it remaining that way until the half-time break.
