IT was an afternoon of fun and Narooma trivia at the Family Feud fundraiser held at the Narooma Golf Club on Sunday afternoon.
Proceeds from the day will help set up the Ratcliffe Auskick Development Fund, which will be used to promote and develop Auskick in the area.
Tim Burke had an exhaustive afternoon as the local “Grant Denyer” coordinating the teams of local families.
The answers to the questions were flashed up on the screen TV style thanks to some snazzy technical wizardry from local IT guru Adrian Fisse.
Beer, drinking, fishing, golf and some out there answers kept the teams guessing as to what the survey found on our local streets.
A signed Sydney Swans jumper was auctioned on the day and purchased by local real estate agent John Murray of Whale Coast Realty.
For the record, the team that were the runner ups were in fact “The Exploding Kookaburras” who lost to the “WesSpurs” a combination of the Westoll and Spurgeon families.
Young Roy Edwards on the Kookaburras team chose “vomit” as a possible answer to what other than fishing you would do from a boat. But his team chose to not accept that response and so narrowly lost out.
Thomas Druhan and Vincent Edwards, aged 11 and 12, did extremely well for the Exploding Kookaburras, winning the bonus round on 161 points.
Organiser Kathryn Ratcliffe said the day was a great success made possible by everyone who supported the event.
“I had fantastic backing from many local businesses and also those further afield that donated items and I’m glad that those who participated enjoyed the day.”
The raffle of an eight-day holiday in Sri Lanka from On The Go Tours was won by Mike Young.
