The Eden Whalers presented the club awards at the S2 cafe on AFL Grand Final day.
Most of the team was in attendance for the last get together for the year.
In the coach’s speech, Greg Hooper said the Whalers had a successful year winning two games and continued to field a team in the SCAFL.
The Whalers cut down the losing margins from last year as well as kicking more goals.
This is all a good sign for the future.
There were a couple of rookies in for the year in Damon Lawler and Josh Abbott.
Both of these players made a contribution to the team.
Some of the more experienced players continued to work hard each week to help the team continue on the right path for the future.
The team then moved on to the club to watch the Hawks upset the Swans.
The Whalers plan to raise funds during the off season.
The Whalers Discount Loyalty Card will be on sale at the Whalers tent during the Whale Festival.
The club welcomes any new members - either those wanting to be involved in the club atmosphere or any new players.
Pre-season training will start early next year.
