In today’s countdown, the WRFL media team caught up with Hoppers Crossing President Shane Buckingham to discuss how the Warriors’ 2014 campaign is shaping up.
Number of teams this year:
15 teams in total.
Pre-season News:
Under new senior coach Steve Kretiuk, the senior squad has been very focused and structured on development, in particularly the development of our younger Under 18 players coming through the ranks.
Expectations for 2014:
I think overall, we want to continue to develop our players. We are very fortunate to have a number of junior teams so if we can help them become better players, they will continue to develop up the ranks to the higher levels which will allow us to build the club from within.
