The league’s only female president this season, Sue Thornton, talks to the WRFL about how the Titans are ready to run out and get amongst the action in their debut year.
Number of teams this year:
In our debut year we are proud to say that we will be fielding six teams. If you, or anyone else you know would like to get involved at the club, we are always looking for players and volunteers to help out. Contact the club on the details below.
Pre-season News:
As you can imagine, the pre-season has been extremely busy on and off the track. We’ve had a few junior registration days and meet and greet days over the summer which have been really successful.
It’s all about getting our name out there in the local community and letting people know that we are here for them to get involved and play football.
We have also had really good numbers at training for our senior teams, so that is really pleasing to see and means that the boys are bonding and working hard as one unit.
Expectations for 2014:
Being a new club, our expectation is to simply field complete teams each week and enjoy the journey that is our debut year. If we can get a few wins on the field too, then that’s a bonus!
Staff/coaching changes:
Obviously this is our first year and so we are all new to the club.
For those who may not know, our senior coach is Daniel Mitchell and our Reserves coach is Jason Ryan.
