The LSA office has been fielding some enquiries regarding the Compliance Rule and its impact on Season 2015. Discussions are in the preliminary stages. So everyone is on the same page, here is everything we know to date.
A quick Q and A regarding the compliance rule:
Q: Was the compliance rule discussed at the recent Board meeting with the possibility of it being changed from its current format? A: Yes
Q: Does the Board see the relevance of a “Development Plan” tailored to each club to ensure future growth of lacrosse in SA? A: Yes
Q: Has the next generation Compliance Rule/Development based Initiative been finalised? A: No
Q: Will LSA be enforcing the need for clubs to formulate a reportable development plan based on Junior recruitment? A: Yes
The LSA Board is acutely aware if its position as caretakers of lacrosse in SA. A large part of that responsibility lies in the area of development to ensure to future of our sport and our clubs. Whilst LSA board members and employees are entrusted with the task of administering Lacrosse in SA, it’s viable club based development structures that will see our sport grow and prosper.
Any enquiries regarding the Compliancy Rule must go through the Director of Development via email. LSA Board will keep everyone in the loop as things progress.
