U19 Final Day & Tournament Review

The final day of competition in the 2015 U19 National Championships saw both Harbour teams playing for third and fourth.

The U19 boys team played Waikato and after a close contest fell just short of the third placing. The final score was 97-90 to Waikato.

Harbour was lead by a high scoring Liam Thornton who dropped 28 points in the finale whilst Isaac Letoa and Caillan Rigby-Hibbard both had 15 in the loss.

Thornton and Rigby-Hibbard were both rewarded for strong play throughout the week with tournament team selections.

For the girls team a match up versus Waitakere would decide who took home the third and fourth positions in the country.

Georgia Perrott-Hunt had 12 points in the game and Rebecca Hughes added 11 for Harbour but it was in a losing cause as Waitakere was too strong winning convincingly 103-83.

Zara Jillings was awarded a spot on the tournament team for an impressive showing at the championships.
