U18 Rep News
The Under 18 North Coast side will face the strong Black Diamond Cup Under 18 squad at the BCU Stadium in two weekends time. This match will be followed by the North Coffs v Coffs Swans Seniors match in a super day of footy.
The League were excited to appoint experienced duo, Peter Chadwick and Sam Dawes as joint coaches.
Entry is a gold coin.
Northern NSW snakes their way onto AFL Footy Show
All eyes should be on Channel 9's AFL "Footy Show" this Thursday Night as Tamworth NAB AFL Auskick Centre attempts to win $10,000-, with a $5,000- win guaranteed.
The opportunity arose through the great work of Colin Moore from Tamworth who entered a competition promoted on the Footy Show last week.
The competition involves Shane Crawford attempting a world record each week. A person is drawn each week and the club they recommended win $5000 if he does not beat the record, or $10,000 if he does, so Colin entered the competition and was lucky enough to be selected for this week.
Crawf will attempt to break the world record involving having spiders crawling on him for a set period of time.
Colin and his son will travel to Melbourne to be at the Footy Show and will stay to take in the Cats vs Brisbane Lions on Sunday.
We wish Tamworth and Colin well. Colin not only supports the Auskick centre but has been a driving force in liaising with AFL NSW/ACT and local schools and clubs to get support for a junior AFL competition in the North West for 2009.
Spida Night cancelled
In other AFL news, the "Evening with Spida Everitt" to be held in Coffs Harbour on Wed 22 April has been cancelled. Spida will instead be promoting junior football in Armidale through a superclinic with Auskickers.
