Sawtell dispelled any doubts over their premiership credentials with a resounding 47 point win over Grafton at the Coffs Coast Leisure Park.
The Saints jumped out of the blocks in the first term, with only inaccuracy in front of goal preventing the home side from building a much bigger lead.
Les Cohen and Daniel Cullen were strong for the victors as the dual threat of Mark Couzens and Ben Hooke up forward made life tough for the Tigers.
A more even start after the half-time break gave Grafton a slight chance of victory with Tim Davis following up on his impressive debut a fortnight ago with another stellar display.
A five-goal final quarter squashed any potential for a Grafton comeback, with Sawtell’s depth coming through to prove they are the real deal heading into the back end of the season.

The Coffs Swans won an old-fashioned encounter in muddy conditions at Stuart Park.
In a lively encounter, the Swans led by Fraser Duryea’s six goal show up forward, paved the way for a handy 14 point lead at the first interval.
Port repelled in the second quarter with Robert Arantz and form player, Greg Dean leading the revival, to trail by two goals heading into the main break.
The rebounding qualities of Rob Eddy and Spencer Day, as well as four goals straight in the third helped the Swans gain an unassailable lead.
This efficiency in front of goal typified the difference between the sides in a match that could have ramifications stemming from reports and citings from either side.

It was all one-way traffic as North Coffs won well over the Lions at Macksville Park.
The Kangaroos celebrated Josh Drum’s 100th match in style with a ruthless display. In a day of milestones, the match also saw the debut of promising juniors, Levi Sands and Brendan Norton.
After being contained somewhat in the opening term, the floodgates opened for the competition favourites with Darren Funston returning with ten majors.
Nambucca failed to add to their first-quarter score till early in the final term as the reliable, Glen Golsby-Smith and Sam Dawes won plenty of the ball.
