North Coffs continued their recent run of winning form against the Coffs Swans with a 55-point victory at the Coffs Coast Leisure Park.
It was a less than convincing performance by the normally methodical Kangaroos outfit as they were frustrated by the Swans negating tactics.
The Swans were able to get men behind the ball and were only dominated in the second quarter after the away side lost a man to the sin-bin.
Again, the Kangaroos had more artillery up forward with Ben Sykes kicking four goals in the first half, only to be matched by Ryan Turner who again displayed a clean pair of hands as he presses for representative selection.
The red and whites were a much improved unit. While Peter Robinson was again a rock down back, they well served by Kris Rundell in the centre. He formed a strong combination with ruckman, Ben Miller, who improved as the match progressed.
Levi Sands provided strong rebound off half-back in what was a strength for the Kangaroos. Darren Funston again led from the front in what ended up being a flattering scoreline for his side.

The Sawtell juggernaut continues to roll on after another dominant display at Richardson Park against the Magpies.
In a watershed first-half the Saints poured on the pain for their travelling counterparts. A nine-goal second quarter ensured the match was effectively over by half-time.
The spoils were again shared in another exemplary team performance. Ben Hooke is the unbackable favourite for the leading goalkicker of the competition, as he kicked another eight against the hapless Port defence.
There was some respite after half-time but the damage was already done. Ethan Kelly, returning from injury, was strong in the ruck and around the ground. He was well supported by the usual suspects in Simon Taylor and Mark Couzens in the midfield.
There were few positives for the Magpies. Liam Carroll battled hard but with a crippling injury toll they proved no match for the premiership favourites.

Nambucca Valley cemented their place in the top four with a massive win over the Grafton Tigers at Macksville Park.
In what loomed as a battle for a place in the top four, albeit early in the season, the Lions leapt out of the gates in a devastating first-half display. Not only did they keep the Tigers goalless, they managed to keep them scoreless as well.
Aaron Clarke was again superb and is developing into one of the stars of the competition. The Lions side fulfilled their promise with young gun, Jed Ellis-Cuff starring across half-forward with four goals.
The Tigers managed to stem the flow of goals to a degree in the second-half but struggled without the direction and leadership of Daniel Zacek, in particular.
Compare this to the Lions, who are on a roll and are full of confidence ahead of a winnable encounter next week against the bottom-placed Swans.
