The Coffs Swans have put in a huge amount of work off the paddock to make their last home game against the might of the Sawtell Saints a huge success.
The Swans wore specially designed jumpers for the day and sold then off at the Coffs Harbour Golf Club on Saturday evening.
The Swans were presented with their new jumpers by Peter Symons. Peter is waging his own war against Cancer and his speech upon presenting the players with their jumpers was truly moving.
Special thanks must go to Nick Von Schill who was the main organiser for the event. Another special mention must go to the the volunteers who on the day sold raffle tickets and the Coffs Swans canteen who donated a huge per centage of the days takings to the cause.
On Saturday evening at the Coffs Harbour Golf Club the players auctioned off the remaining Yellow jumpers and made even more money for the cause.
A highlight of the evening was the Presentation of the Morgan Medal. Named after Scott Morgan who is currently having his own battle with Cancer. This year it was won by Sean " Whizz" Gleeson.
Over all the weekend was a huge success with the Coffs Swans raising in excess of$4500.00.
CONGRATULATIONS AND WELL DONE FOR A WORTHY CAUSE.
