THE winners were predictable but all matches in the final round of the AFL North Coast season before the finals start were closely fought affairs.
Grafton was unable to overcome the ladder leading Sawtell/Toormina but with only a couple of minutes remaining at Ellem Oval, the Tigers held a slender lead.
Coffs Swans beat the winless North Coffs but the cross-town derby was a less than impressive finals warm up from the Swans.
Port Macquarie notched up three wins from three attempts against the new local rival Camden Haven to go into the finals as one of the in-form teams making it six wins from the Magpies last seven matches.
Sawtell/Toormina 13.14 (92) def Grafton 12.9 (81)
Coffs Swans 10.12 (72) def North Coffs 5.2 (32)
Port Macquarie 13.11 (89) def Camden Haven 8.6 (54)
