The Coffs Swans continued their solid start to the season with a comfortable home victory over the Port Magpies at Fitzroy Oval.
The Swans jumped out of the blocks to lead by five goals at quarter time and made it an unassailable lead come half-time, with the Magpies kept to a solitary goal.
Evan Duryea stood up for the home side, booting six in an accurate showing by the Swans forward line. He was well supported by brother, Fraser and Scott Morgan who both kicked three goals.
It was a more even showing in the second half by the Magpies, with Michael Kemp and Greg Dean vindicating their selection in the preliminary Representative squad with strong performances.
Leading goalkicker, Jesse Schmidt was well held by the Swans defence led by Damien Elks and Peter Robinson. The duo stepped up in the absence of key defender, Rob Eddy to hold the traditionally robust Port attack.
The big challenge lies ahead for the Swans who face the in-form Saints next weekend.

A dominant six-goal second quarter helped the Saints to a strong win over Grafton at Ellem Oval.
The pieces of the puzzle seem to be coming together for the defending premiers as Ben Hooke impressed up forward and was well supported by smaller forwards, Les Cohen and Lachlan Draper-Bell.
Experienced midfielders, Jai Hardy and Mark Couzens again showed their class in opening the gap after a tight first term. Developing players in Tim Chuhaj and Ethan Kelly enjoyed impressive games in the ten goal win.
The Saints didn't have it all their own way as Grafton won the third quarter with Grahame Blackwell leading the way. Zac Edwards and fellow forward, Dale Beaver were also in the thick of the action for the Tigers.
Their slim chances of victory were snuffed as Sawtell pulled away in the final term in a pleasing win in what shaped as a danger match for the defending premiers.

North Coffs continued their unbeaten run with their win over Nambucca Valley.
The run of Tom Merrick and Adam Rhodes set up the big win as Jordan O'Connor continued his good form up forward for the Kangaroos.
Mathew Quinlan enjoyed superiority in the air giving good supply to Darren Funston and Sam Dawes as the home side jumped to a strong first-quarter lead.
Nambucca held their own leading into half-time with Aaron Clarke and Monty Schmidt active in the midfield.
Over time, the Kangaroos began to assert their dominance with twenty-two scoring shots after the break. Joel Wylie and Matthew Crispe were a good foil for O'Connor in a good lead-in for the Kangaroos ahead of their trip south to Port Macquarie.
