The Melton Toyota Riddell District Football Netball League has been forced to make a venue change to the 2014 fixture.
Weather conditions, including constant recent rainfall, has left Woodend’s Gilbert Gordon Oval in an almost unplayable condition, and after consultation with the Woodend-Hesket FNC and the Macedon Ranges Shire Council, the RDFNL has been left with no choice but to move this Saturday’s Round 14 fixture between Woodend-Hesket and Macedon to Diggers Rest Recreation Reserve in Diggers Rest.
The Melton Toyota RDFNL wishes to thank the Diggers Rest FNC (and in particular DRFNC President Chris Payne) and the Melton City Council for their assistance in this venue change.
The playing surface at Gilbert Gordon Oval will be closely monitored over the coming weeks as to its suitability to host Woodend-Hesket’s final home game of the 2014 season in Round 18 against Lancefield.
