AFL Goldfields are thrilled to be partnering with Care Monkey to roll out their program across all Ballarat FNL and Riddell District FNL football and netball competitions in 2016. This new system will help clubs provide a duty of care to their members that has only been achieved in the past by countless hours of laborious administrative work carried out by hard working and dedicated volunteers. This state of the art system provides families and individuals with the opportunity to share confidential and protected information with the necessary club members who will have the ability to act immediately in the event where something should go wrong.
AFL Goldfields Regional General Manager Rod Ward said, “Care Monkey is a fantastic system and a great asset that clubs can utilize to provide an unprecedented level of care to their members.
As a parent of young participants across football and netball myself, I think the system is a great way for me to communicate the medical needs of my kids to our own club and share that information with other organisations such as schools and other sporting groups. I think clubs will really see the benefits that such a system can provide from the outset and we encourage clubs to make the most of everything the system can provide.
Next year we hope to discuss the potential roll out of this program with the MCDFNL and CHFNL for the 2017 season. We hope all AFL Goldfields Clubs and Leagues see the benefits of using this system and the duty of care it provides all members”
This tool allows AFL Goldfields Clubs and Leagues to keep track of an individual’s medical history and follow up any incidents with their next of kin or nominated contact should anything go wrong on match days. It also provides clubs with various tools to streamline administrative tasks that used to require the transfer of paperwork.
AFL Goldfields looks forward to seeing the benefits of this new system roll out across our clubs this season and encourage everyone to do their bit to ensure their details remain up to date at all stages.
