Riddell has sent a strong message to the Riddell District Football Netball League competition with a thumping 112-point win over two-time reigning premiers Romsey at home.
The Bombers set up the win when they streaked away in the first term with six goals in 7.5 minutes in a mesmerising spell.
Romsey went into the contest without leading backmen Ayden and Nathan Tessari. Riddell missed James Nolan up forward through suspension.
The Redbacks started strongly but couldn't convert from their early chances. Young gun Jack Jedwab nailed a sensational right foot goal from the boundary line to keep Romsey to within four points, 2.2 (14) to 1.4 (10).
