NAB's Regional Executive for Tasmania, Cameron Geason is thrilled with the reach of the program.
"NAB is looking forward to it's ninth year supporting the Auskick program, each week allowing 168,000 children and their parents to head to one of 2,800 NAB AFL Auskick Centres around the country to participate in NAB AFL Auskick.
"We are proud to work with the AFL and AFL Tasmania to provide a program that plays such an important role in local communities around Tasmania."
Tasmania had over 8,000 registered Auskick participants in 2012 with a target of 9,000 for 2013.
AFL Tasmania's Community Programs Manager, Brett Mansell highlighted the importance of the NAB AFL Auskick Program.
"The Auskick program is a key component of the overall pathway of a young footballer.
"From the age of five participants get the opportunity to play the game and develop skills in an environment that is both fun and safe."
Hawthorn Football Club Chief Executive Officer, Stuart Fox believes it is a positive sign to see so many young Tasmanians taking part in the program .
"Auskick plays a vital role in the development of young footballers in both Tasmania and across the country.
"I know our players enjoy visiting local Auskick communities and meeting the future stars of the game."
