The Port Douglas Football Club was established in 1989 and is the only team outside of the Cairns region. In fact Port Douglas is the most northern AFL club on the east coast of Australia. Port Douglas is nationally & internationally known as a popular tourist holiday destination and sits on the doorstep of the Great Barrier Reef and Daintree National Park rainforest. The town offers a very unique tropical lifestyle and when combined with playing Aussie Rules, well, we believe we are the luckiest team in the country.

Port Douglas boasts a wonderful home ground next to the marina with modern facilities and all in the foreground of the spectacular mountain backdrop which surrounds our stunning coastline. We field very competitive teams from Under 8's right through to senior level. We are proud to have by far the strongest & active supporter base in the CAFL and this town is very passionate about their football club.

Senior Premierships: 1991, 2001, 2005
Reserve Premierships: 1999, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005

Comment Guidelines: The SportingPulse Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
