GLENMORE Bullettes coach Aaron Russell had something to cheer about on Saturday.
The Bulls A-grade star's side was no match for BITS Saints in the A-grade grand final, but his women's side continued their superb 2013 season.
The Glenmore Bullettes dominated rivals and last year's grand finalists Yeppoon Swans in the AFL Capricornia women's grand final at the Rockhampton Cricket Ground on Saturday.
Leading 3.1 (19) to 0.1 (1) after the opening period, the Bullettes went on finish 8.6 (54) to 2.3 (15) winners, and claim the club's first women's premiership.
Winning their 17th straight match of the season, the Bullettes' midfield controlled possession with co-captains Megan Rickertt and Katie Selhorst booting a goal each, while newcomers Nyree Gilluley and Brittany Mace both bagged a couple of goals.
For the Swans, Elish Grundon and Megann Pristash kicked their only goals.
