McAughtry Committed to Lead Eagles Men
The Diamond Valley Basketball Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Al McAughtry as the Big V Senior Championship Men's Head Coach for 2016 & 2017. A long time Director of Coaching for the club, Al is about to complete his first year in charge of this team.
"Unfortunately the team has not delivered the on court success that we had hoped for but the positive adjustment in team culture and the work the boys have done this year within the association has been most pleasing. There has been a noted difference in the Senior Men's Program ability to create links with our Junior Domestic and Junior Eagles Programs all under the guidance of Al. This has been very important as we continue to strive to be a great basketball association, " DVBA's CEO, Ross Wignell commented.
“Having the opportunity to continue to build the program is something that I cherish and am thankful for getting the chance to do. We continue to push the development and playing opportunities instead of limping from year to year. Supported by many hard working people at the club, we will build on our presence within the association and we will put a stronger list together with a view to play in finals next year,” Al McAughtry.
The DVBA would like to congratulate and wish Al the best of luck to finish this season with some wins.
