The basic hand signals used by the Field Umpire.

The game expects the following of its umpires:
• Placing the safety and welfare of the participants above all else
• Accepting responsibility for all actions taken.
• Being courteous and respectful and open to discussion
and interaction.
• Valuing the individual in sport.
• Seeking continual self improvement.
• Being a positive role model in behaviour and personal appearance.

Do not disrespect this as the umpire is trying to keep the game safe and playable throughout the season.

Comment Guidelines: The SportingPulse Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.

Notice Board

"Ask not what your sport can do for you, but ask what can you do for your sport".
