Teams Fall in Champions Semis

The CDSFA today finished its association with the current Champion of Champions tourmament.

The three remaining title hopes for 2013 all fell at the semi-final stage of this season ending prestigeous community football event. Inter Lions' two chances dropped their games in the Under 21 and Over 45 men's divisions while Canterbury's Under 18 girls bowed out as well.

For the Inter Lions 45s it was a difficult loss (0-1) in extra time. Inter Lions were the defending champions in this division and looking for a repeat of their 2012 success. This followed the departure of the Hurlstone Park Under 21 women in the previous round who were also defending champions in their division.

The Board and Management of the Association congratulate all teams that represented the Association in this tournament and look forward to returning stronger in 2014.
