Semi-Final Bound in the State Cup
Balmain, Concord and Russell Lea all have teams playing in the Semi-finals of the State Cup. In a remarkable achievement two of the three teams are female football teams.
The State Cups 4th round was played on Sunday 15 June with half of the Association teams pushing on through to the semi-final stage of the tournament. Each of the winniners had good wins.
Burwood (18) went down in their game by the narrowest of margins and a traditionally successful Inter Lions in the Over 35 men will not progress after a high scoring encounter saw them bow out.
For each of Balmain, Concord and Russell Lea they will move forward and display their talents in two weeks against another tough opponent.

- 12 - Frank Broughton Cup: Ramsgate lost to Balmain 1, 0 - 3
- 18: Glenhaven defeated Burwood, 1 - 0
- 35: St Marys Bandclub defeated Inter Lions, 6 - 3
- 12w - Cheryl Salisbury Cup: Concord defeated Bossley Sports Club, 1 - 0
- 12w - Cheryl Salisbury Cup: Northbridge1 defeated Balmain, 4 - 0
- 18w: Russell Lea defeated Shellharbour JFC, 3 - 0
